Memorial Biography

Kim Cherise Adams, age 46, died unexpectedly at home in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Survivors include parents Royal R. and Theresa B. Adams of Harvey, LA, brother Keith (April), her “doggy baby” Marsai, nephews (godsons) Dalton and Brison Adams, uncles Walter Barrilleaux and Dale Addison (Judy) and aunts Glenda Cleveland (Billy), Gaylen Guillory (Jeff), and Judi Adams, paternal grandmother Ora Addison, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces/nephews, as well as hundreds of friends who all miss her terribly.

Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marylee B. Adams and Walter Barrilleaux, Sr. and paternal grandfather Royal R. Adams, Sr.

Born September 7, 1971 in Harvey, Louisiana, Kim attended River Oaks Academy and Archbishop Blenk High School and LSU, as well as Cameron College. At the time of her death, Kim lived in Los Angeles and worked for Black Lion Investment Groups as Director of Legal Affairs. She previously worked for Weiss & Eason LLC as a paralegal. Kim was a PACE registered paralegal with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. Kim was a lifetime lover of all animals.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lifegate Church, 1309 Butternut Road, Metairie, LA. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend on July 15, 2018. Service will be in the Sanctuary at 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Celebration of Life in the Fellowship Hall from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The family is requesting that you share a special memory about Kim.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested for the New Orleans Animal Rescue (Animal Rescue NOLA), ADDC Foundation (ADDC Foundation Forms), or a charity of your choice.
